NEW WINE BRAND DRINKS WELL AND IS UP FOR GRABS

After the success of our recent label design of NICE NOSE wine, we have created a new wine brand concept with ‘Drinks Well’.

The aim was to create a supermarket friendly label to appeal to the mass market. If a large retail channel or wine supplier wants an own brand with a clear message, offering delicious, good value, ready to drink wine, ‘Drinks Well’ is the ideal solution.

The visuals include three very different wines from separate countries and the label descriptions clearly state what the average consumer needs to know. They have uniform characteristics, starting with the grape variety, then a brief summary, followed by the region of origin and wine variety. Lastly is a detailed description that ends with a unique sentence backing up the fact that the wine ‘Drinks Well’.

The range can include as many wines as required and there is clear colour distinction between the reds, the whites, and the rosés.

We are now targeting ‘Drinks Well’ to wine distributors and supermarkets in the hope that they will want to take the brand on.

ROBOT-FOOD DOES TOP GEAR

Thanks to Mike, our Design Director (pictured below) we went on an outing yesterday to watch Top Gear being filmed. It was pretty cool to see the fastest lap time ever by a Ferrari FSX worth £1,000,000, producing 860bhp from a 6.2 litre V12. It was also good to see the Stig reveal himself for an interview. You’ll have to watch this Sunday for more!

PETER O’CONNOR JOINS ROBOT-FOOD ARTIST NETWORK

Our Artist Network continues to grow with the addition of the massively talented illustrator and designer Peter O’Connor.

Peter is far more commercially aware than most and his work can be seen all over the shelves and walls of retailers such as Argos and ASDA.

He is a simple idea thinker and fits in perfectly with the rest of our team. We are stoked to have  him on board and can’t wait for the first brief to involve him in.

For more of his work, take a look at www.poc-art.com

WHITE LIES – TO LOSE MY LIFE… (Review)

We can’t get enough of this album at the moment. Not usually one for present chart single bands, I downloaded this album for my girlfriend as she commented on their last single while listening to the radio. It’s been on repeat ever since.

White Lies deliver faultless production of a style that reminds you of everything that was good about in the 80′s. Every track is an anthem and listening through you will at times hear heavy influence from Tears For Fears, Joy Division, The Cure, Duran Duran and many more all wrapped up in contemporary rock style that makes them better than The Killers at what The Killers do.

I can’t wait to see them at Glastonbury. Get hold of a copy today! (By Simon)

ROBOT-FOOD MAKES CAT FOOD

We show a new side to our talents, branching into the pet food industry with ‘My Cat Loves’.

We have designed an almost familiar identity, unique in the market, with subtle shelf shout to back up the flavours. The product is intended to appeal to cat owners in humour as much as their cats’ in taste. The packaging alludes to the 1930’s, combining tri-colour print over a traditional paper packet.

“I’ve tried almost every complete cat food on the supermarket shelf, but my cat continues to bring in blackbirds and mice to fill his bowl.

“We must listen to the requirements of the end consumer!” says Simon.

Looking back to a time before major pet food companies were established, what flavours would be the obvious choices for the cat? In the pre-mid 1900’s as cat flaps grew in popularity, would cats have really dragged turkeys, lamb and cattle into the house?
