New MyProtein Pouches

Here are the new MyProtein MP Max pouches that we designed. They are available for order direct from MyProtein now and soon to follow will be MP Max Elle, Elite and the MP Core range, which we renamed (previously ‘Essentials’).

The aim of the design is to appear more innovative and scientific, as more people buy into sports nutrition products. We simplified the existing branding, introducing new fonts and symbols. The packs are easy to read with key messaging to suggest number of portions etc. We also suggested the new company strap-line, “Fuel Your Ambition”, which is direct and emotive and can be applied to weight loss products and health suppliments, as well as protein powders.

iPhone 4S

Apparently some idiots queued for a week to get hold of the new iPhone 4S! Mike called Carphone Warehouse at lunch time and a bloke called Steve saved him one. He’s now chatting to his new boyfriend Siri. He just told Siri “I love you” and Siri replied with “All you need is love and your iPhone”.

Best Dressed Award

Our new business development manager, Joe Flanagan is officially the best dressed man in the studio here at Robot-food HQ. After more than a month he hasn’t quite caught up with the fact that nobody else rocks a collar and cuffs, so we’re thinking of introducing ‘dress up Thursday’, just so he fits in.

Opinions On Design

Check out this week’s issue of Marketing Week, as it comes with a supplement all about design. In it are various essays from industry heads, including our own Creative Director, Simon. He’s promoting the cause for smaller agencies, with a view that the more hands on approach we can offer, is often most beneficial to clients. Check it out to find out why.

A Meeting Of Minds

On Friday we went to visit our friends at Redhouse Originals art gallery in Harrogate, for a preview of their new show. A Meeting Of Minds showcases a new generation of visual artists, featuring original paintings on canvas from KING ADZ, Schoph Schophield and Colin Wilson

The exhibition also includes the unveiling of King Adz’ collaboration with Blek Le Rat – the stunning ‘All Things Must Pass’

Robot-food Artist Network collaborator Schoph Schophield’s new work (pictured above) is fantastic and well worth a visit to see alone.

A Sad Day

Steve devoted his professional life to giving us (you, me and a billion other people) the most powerful devices available to ordinary people.

It’s up to us what we do with them.

As Steve once said “Design is the soul of manmade creation”.

Good Food Café

Here’s the identity that we’ve created for Filmore & Union; a new independent café and deli chain to soon open in York, Leeds and Harrogate.

Filmore & Union was forged and inspired by a love for great food, appreciation of State side customer service and most importantly, the health and nutritional benefits of an everyday meal. It has led the founders to combine the various skills acquired whilst working within the health and catering industry to create a new choice and style of dining.

It is to provide a direct, informal and almost educational service to customers to help them build a better relationship with food whilst still offering all the other great parts and aspects of what makes eating out so enjoyable.

Feeling good is very reactive. Eat well, be well.
