2018 Roundup

It’s almost time to close the doors at RF HQ for the 10th year and like every year before it’s been the biggest yet. So, we reflect…

We’ve welcomed new faces to the team: Steph, Becca, Fia and two guys called Rich, making 2018 the year the girls outnumbered the boys!

Global has been a big theme, from our reinvention of the classic Mr Kipling as a challenger for new international markets to the creation of a brand world for Pernod Ricard’s Passport Scotch.

We’ve dipped our toes into film production, creating two Crowdcube campaign films for clients Awesome Merchandise, who doubled their funding target, and Northern Monk, who tripled theirs in just over a week.

Simon made his public speaking debut at the local Glug event. Our annual ‘cultural’ trip took us to the wonky streets of Amsterdam and was a raucous weekend well spent. We were also extremely proud to be featured in Computer Art’s Top 30 UK agencies amongst some brilliant company, voted for by our peers.

We’ve also reflected on our first decade in business by taking stock and putting into focus what comes next.

We’ll be charging into the new year with a bold new mission and exciting new direction. We wouldn’t say the way we work is broken but we’re willing to break it in order to build something better.

The past ten years have taught us that playing it safe isn’t a sound choice when it comes to consumer brands. Looking ahead we want to partner with the mavericks, the upstarts and the big brand businesses who share our vision and understand that bravery isn’t bravado. It’s the bottom line.
