Becky Broome Gets Personal

British gifting company, Becky Broome, take their lifestyle and homewares offer to the next level with a new brand experience designed by Robot Food. Becky Broome sell stylish, personalised gifts and homewares, and their products are among the best sellers at Not On The High Street. For good reason. Everything is made in Britain to high, hand-finished standards and comes with exceptional customer service.

Their existing brand identity wasn’t doing justice to the quality and scope of their products. Or their ambition – they had ideas for some exciting new products. So the husband and wife team asked Robot Food to redesign their brand identity and packaging, and create a website for a stronger, more unified brand expression. Robot Food got to work on a brand experience that begins with the website, flowing consistently through to the delivered item. The elegant new logo is held within a rectangular lock-up to hint at a gift box, and the subtle breaks in the word lines nod to the etching techniques the company use for their glassware. Make it Personal, the new strapline, doubles up as a call to action and a description of the company’s personalised approach.

Packaging colourways are fresh, attractive and gender-neutral. A crisp white teamed up with a vibrant lime looks bright and inviting, and the spot UV finish adds an extra dimension to evoke the love, care and attention lavished on the wares within. The tissue wrap design features hugs and kisses, appropriate for all occasions. The fully branded shipper boxes even bear the strapline and brand story so that the Becky Broome experience hits every brand touchpoint. Robot Food designed the new fully responsive ecommerce website too. The intuitive navigation makes items searchable by category (home, gardens, weddings), occasion (e.g. anniversary, birthday, retirement) and recipient (for him, for her, mother and child, etc.) The spacious design and fresh colours reflect the company’s personal touch and ‘elegantly everyday’ appeal.

Owner, Becky Broome, said, “Robot Food have done a fantastic job on our new brand identity, beautiful packaging and new website. They were recommended to us and have been a dream to work with. The results are a complete brand experience, and a true expression of all we are and stand for. In our first week since relaunch, over half our customers are choosing our gift wrap service, and are sharing images and feedback with us on social media. A fantastic result, and ideal for our continuing growth.”

Simon Forster, Robot Food’s Creative Director, said, “Becky Broome are going from strength to strength, and they deserve a brand experience that’s a true reflection of their thoughtful, personalised approach. Placing the emphasis on craft and attention to detail, we created a considered brand that’s special enough to showcase their quality products, and broadly appealing enough to suit their diverse customer base.“
