EDZ Layering | Previous design

EDZ are leaders in thermal layering for the motorbike market. When they approached us to redesign their packaging, we identified that a full re-brand was needed to maintain their position within the motorbike industry and to allow them to break in new sports markets.

EDZ Layering | REBRAND

The new brand logo is iconic and suggests 'Performance Layering'. We introduced the 'Performance Layering' strap-line and added a versitile colour coded 'performance' icon to use on garments. Both the centre of the 'E' in the logo and the icon change colour on garments and packaging, to denote which climate category each product sits within.

We focused on the technical aspects of the product and developed ownable icons to communicate the qualities on pack and swing tags.

We designed new packaging structures in a matt laminate finish, to enhance the performance feel. As the garments are single colour, we removed pack photography and replaced it with a product window. This reduced the number of artwork skus required as product specifics are featured on a colour coded, gloss varnish sticker. Both the reduction in pack variations and the removal of photography reduced cost for the client.

For the business cards we chose to gloss laminate the logo over a matt varnish stock, for a performance look and feel.

We redesigned the corporate website in a style that is more inkeeping with the new branding and changed the URL from 'EDZ.biz' to 'EDZlayering.com' Check it out at: www.edzlayering.com
