Mid-weight Creative Artworker

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled mid-weight creative artworker to join our inhouse Production team who’s a stickler for detail and has plenty of experience under their belts. Please note this is not a creative design role.
Someone with a cracking portfolio, strong technical artworking skills, and maybe even a flair for retouching and/or visualising.
Someone who’ll work under our executive creative director and report directly to our studio production manager to ensure all our production output is as accurate as it is organised. Familiar with following print specifications, regulatory requirements and design intention.
Someone who wants to be a part of creating progressive work for start-ups, challenger brands and even household names.
Someone who’s a great team player and will help make sure our vision and common goal is captured across every project.
What we want from you:
— Experience. At least 4 years in a production role.
— Enthusiasm. You’re as excited about our work as we are.
— Confidence. You’re willing to challenge and be challenged. A great communicator who’ll build strong relationships with the team and clients.
— Curiosity and flexibility. You need to be adaptable and constantly willing to learn.
— Organisation. You can prioritise workloads and manage your own time.
— Initiative. You take the lead and don’t wait to be invited.
What we want from the role:
— Excellent knowledge of Adobe CC suite (specifically Illustrator and occasionally InDesign and Photoshop). Experience in retouching and/or visualising would be great but is not essential.
— A great understanding of print, production processes, and colour management techniques – and can put these into practice.
— Confidence in producing accurate print/repro-ready artwork files, including special finishes that comply with varying specifications. Can also produce files for online purposes.
— Accuracy and consistency. Pro-actively reviewing their own work thoroughly.
— Meticulously following artwork briefs, challenging requests and offering other solutions when needed.
— An active point of contact for production-related questions, alongside the studio production manager.
— Able to adapt to more creative briefs from time to time to help the design team if needed.
— Can confidently produce in house mock-ups as well as outsourcing POS items, proto-types and colour targets, within specific budgets.
— Can organise and run pre-production meetings (occasionally with the client) to offer guidance and solutions to print challenges.
— A finger on the pulse, sharing new and innovative design and print trends with the wider team.
What’s in it for you?
— £25-30k (DOE)
— 28 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays
— Annual bonus structure (based on performance targets)
— Annual team trip
— Inspiration days
