The role

Reporting directly to the Studio Production Manager, we’re looking for a Middleweight Artworker with the skills and experience to make sure our production output is as accurate as it is organised. This is an exciting and varied role for someone with the right experience in packaging, artwork and production looking to take the next step in their career in a progressive, creative environment.

Responsibilities and key skills:

– An excellent knowledge of the Adobe CC suite, specifically Illustrator with occasional InDesign and Photoshop skills required. Experience in retouching would be a bonus but isn’t essential.

– A great understanding of print, production processes, web and their requirements in practice.

– Skilled at producing accurate print/repro-ready artwork files including special finishes that meet varying specifications. Can also produce files for online purposes.

– A good understanding of colour management techniques.

– Well organised, methodical with excellent attention to detail. You'll proactively review your own work and take pride in ensuring it’s accurate and consistent with existing work.

– Follows artwork briefs meticulously, but is also comfortable challenging requests and design rules when necessary and offering better solutions.

– Actively works towards deadlines and lets team members know if there’ll be a delay.

– Comfortable following extensive checklists, internal ways of working and processes. Happy to contribute with improvements when necessary.

– A great communicator and as a key member of the Production Team who’s able to deal with queries from other members of the team.

– Keeps up to date with design trends, progressions in the industry and shares findings with the wider team. Always looking for new and innovative solutions.

– Is flexible, dynamic and can adapt to more creative briefs to help the creative team when needed. May also be relied upon to cover the Studio Production Manager with traffic and project management on occasion too.

– Can confidently produce in house mock-ups as well as outsourcing POS items, prototypes and colour targets when needed. Keeping track of orders and working within specific budgets.

– Can independently and reliably chair pre-production meetings, occasionally client facing.

– Is confident offering guidance and solutions to any challenges faced.
