The Role

Working under the Founder/Exec Creative Director and reporting directly to the Studio Production Manager, we are looking for a Middleweight Artworker with the skills and experience to ensure our production output is as accurate as it is organised. This is an exciting and varied role for someone with the right experience in packaging, artwork and production looking to further their career in a progressive, creative environment.

General attributes:

Enthusiasm is infectious. We're enthusiastic about our work and our clients and are looking for someone who will be as excited by what we do as we are.

A ‘people person’. We need someone who is able to endear themselves to clients and colleagues alike and build strong relationships through knowledge and trust.

A ‘do-er’. Being adaptable is essential with a willingness to learn and continually grow within the role.

Organisational skills are imperative. Must be highly organised with time management skills and able to prioritise workload.

A self-initiator. You’re the kind of person who takes the lead and doesn’t wait to be invited.

Inquisitive mind. Never one to accept the status quo. You'll be willing to challenge and be challenged.

Responsibilities & Key Skills:

An excellent knowledge of the Adobe CC suite, specifically Illustrator with occasional InDesign and Photoshop skills required. Experience in retouching would be an advantage but not essential.

A great understanding of print, production processes, web and their requirements in practice.

Adept in producing accurate print/repro-ready artwork files with the inclusion of special finishes that adhere to varying specifications. Can also produce files for online purposes.

Understanding of colour management techniques required.

Must be well organised, methodical and obtain excellent attention to detail. You'll pro-actively review your own work thoroughly and take pride to ensure it’s accurate and consistent with existing work.

Works to artwork briefs, following them meticulously and can be relied upon to challenge requests and design rules when necessary, offering alternative beneficial solutions.

Actively works towards deadlines and reliably informs team members in the event of unforeseen delays (and their circumstances).

Prepared to work with extensive checklists, internal ways of working and processes. Contributing with improvements if an opportunity is noticed.

Is a team player who works towards ensuring the Robot Food vision and common goal is captured across every project.

Is a great communicator and as a key member of the Production team is able to deal with related queries from other team members.

Keeps up to date with new design trends, progressions within the print industry and shares discoveries with the wider team. Always looking for new and innovative solutions.

Is flexible, dynamic and can adapt to more creative briefs if required to help within the creative team from time to time. May also be relied upon to cover the Studio Production Manager with traffic and project management on occasion too.

Can confidently produce in house mock-ups as well as outsourcing POS items, prototypes and colour targets upon request. Keeping track of orders and working within specific budgets.

Can independently and reliably conduct pre-production meetings, occasionally client facing. Confidently providing guidance and solutions to challenges faced.
