Junior Designer Ollie ventured down south to Norwich on the weekend and brought back some treasures from the NUA degree show. Feast your eyes on some amazing young talent and Ollie's brilliant commentary.
Joel Payne – Illustration
Super cool lino prints that probably took way too long, would look mint on t-shirts.
Charlotte Chesher – Illustration
This work was probably my (and a lot of other peoples) favourite out of all the illustration stuff. She won the Vice Chancellor’s award for this and the Uni have bought the big piece for its collection!
Callum Arthur – Graphic Comms
Interesting posters, pretty bluntly summing up some blockbuster plots. Gave me a giggle, can you guess them?
Chloe Cartwright – Graphic Design
This really stood out to me for the chill AF illustration, kinda reminds me of Upstream a bit? This was a Bulletproof Fresh Meat finalist.
Lauren Meiszner – Graphic Design
Thought the use of triangles for the illustration for Dairylea was fun and could be extended off pack really easily and the Zizzi stuff was wild.
Susie Catchpowle – Graphic Design
Thought her CBD suncream Horus she designed was relevant plus it won this year's Studio Minerva competition.
Sam Couzens – Graphic Design
This was for a brief you had to base an alcoholic brand around your family history. One of her grandfathers was a bus conductor on route 73 I assume? Cool design!
Oliver Howe – Graphic Design
I like the ‘spirit with a snap’ tagline on this and the colours and illustration style suit the brand.
