Working with both internal teams and external partners to get our voice heard and to deliver commercial growth, you’ll have a track record of getting companies noticed and a good grasp of what makes brands tick in today’s marketplace.

Robot Food is a strategic brand agency based in Leeds, working with the most forward-thinking global brands. Essentially, we build brands people actually want (that answer a genuine need) for like-minded, progressive clients of all shapes and sizes. The position:

This is a vital role within the agency and you will be a key player stimulating business growth, reporting to the agency founder and working across all departments. Like us, you’ve got an entrepreneurial brain and you’re able to spot opportunities. You’ll also have a keen focus on business growth and deliver a bold marketing plan to meet our agency objectives and make us famous. Like the work we do for our clients, we want our own Robot Food brand to break new ground in the marketplace. We’re too good to be niche!

You’ll be responsible for:

• Working with our senior team to deliver our annual strategic marketing plan to help meet our agency objectives and contribute to the commercial growth of the business

• Content creation and copywriting, utilising the experience across the team to input where required

• A strong commercial understanding of how your activity (and spending) contributes to business growth. ROI is important to us.

• Working with the internal team to organise and create a comprehensive suite of marketing materials such as emails, blogs, case studies, creds decks and videos – maintaining our brand DNA & tone of voice throughout

• Taking a proactive approach to pitching new ideas that will help our marketing activity, providing a rationale to back up your thinking

• Responding quickly and efficiently to ad hoc opportunities

• Managing our PR output to deliver against the plan. Briefing, editing and proofreading supplied content, acting as our brand guardian to keep us on message at all times

• Working with the Client team to manage and nurture our client database, delivering engaging outbound comms

• Managing our social media content and channels

• Working with our creative strategist to research and interpret the latest consumer trends that affect our client base and create compelling outbound content

• Keep up to date with the latest industry news and events to feed into activity where required

• Communicating across all teams in the agency to keep stakeholders informed of marketing activity and progress

• Tracking performance to measure results, ROI and effectiveness, adapting plans where necessary

What we’re looking for:

As a team, we’re pretty close, so we’re looking for someone with the right qualities:

• A doer, as well as a thinker. You’ll drive all RF content, managing creative through studio and pulling in resources across the team where required. Organised and self-initiating you don’t rely on others to keep you on track.

• Enthusiasm is a must. We want someone who brings passion and energy by the bucket load to every task and project.

• An eye for the bigger picture. You understand the wider objectives of the business and the role you play within it.

• Someone with empathy who’s able to put themselves in the shoes of our clients and their consumers.

• Gumption, entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, whatever you want to call it – just as long as you’ve got it. We want someone who’ll market RF like it’s their own company and can hit the ground running.

• Someone with their finger on the pulse. You’re curious and interested in the wider world and keep up to date with the latest market intel

• A relationship builder. You can endear yourself to colleagues and external contacts building strong bonds based on knowledge and trust.

• Strong commercial focus. A strategic focus and keen commercial awareness are vital. Someone who knows if the activity will pay for itself. You can identify opportunities and deliver value to our businesses.

Working environment:

Our studio is based in the centre of Leeds and like most businesses, we are currently offering hybrid working with a current requirement of 2 days/week in the office.

Essentials for the role:

This is a full-time position. You’ve got a strong understanding of the marketing mix and the channels we’ll need to use to reach clients. Good copywriting skills are essential for the role. An ability to demonstrate experience of planning and executing marketing campaigns.

What’s in it for you:

Salary: Up to £42k dependent on experience

A holiday allowance of 28 days plus UK Bank Holidays

Performance related bonus
