Welcoming our new intern Eleanor Duckers
This week we’re delighted and excited to welcome our new intern Eleanor Duckers.
Fresh out of Nottingham Trent University, Eleanor brings an impressive portfolio, energy and enthusiasm to the studio.
Rather than befriending the photocopier and running errands, she joins Robot Food as a fully paid up member of the team for the next six weeks.
Why? Because what's the point in offering internships if the intern doesn't get near the actual work?
Tell us three things about you that most people don’t know.
I was on CBBC with my dog when I was ten, my ultimate claim to fame.
I am an avid birdwatcher, twitchers aren’t all old men you know!
People who know me know this already, I am the world’s biggest potato lover.
Why Robot Food?
I've really admired the studio ever since you came into uni during my second year and set us a brief (I remember thinking wow I would love to work there!) and it remains one of my favourite uni projects. Since then, I’ve followed and always been inspired by the work you put out. It feels surreal to be here!
What are you most looking forward to about your time with us?
After working solo on all my projects at uni, I’m most looking forward to being part of and working with a team. The opportunity to bounce off and learn from the super-talented designers here is a dream come true, I can’t wait to develop my skills and thinking.
What is your favourite type of design?
I love it when mixed-media is used in design, the merging of digital approaches with work done by hand is great to see in the ever-digital graphic design world, and is something I really enjoy doing too. I feel like it really helps to add depth and personality to a brand or wherever it’s being applied, it’s great!

“We're buzzing to kickstart our internship programme back up for the first time since Covid with Eleanor joining the team!
She's been thrown into the deep end, joining us on photography shoots and naming workshops in her first couple of days, and already smashing it.
I'm excited to see what the next six weeks hold and what talents Eleanor brings to the team.”
